HOW TO FIX ENGRAVER OR LIGHTBURN NOT CONNECTING TO COMPUTER – SOLVED! –
First download this Extension that you need on your computer to communicate with your engraver (the Zip contains both the Windows .exe and the pkg installer for Mac).

Once that is done, simply install and reboot your Mac and you should be good to go.
If an old version of unsigned/another driver is already existing on your Mac, please uninstall it first.
Open application “Terminal” and type the following commands step by step:
<1> “sudo su” and input your password;
<2> “rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/usbserial.kext”
<3> If you cannot find the kext in step2, please try to type:
“rm -rf /Library/Extensions/usbserial.kext”
This should solve your problem and get your Mac computer connected to your engraver.
